Position: Computer/Network Technician
Location: Ft. Walton Beach Division
Description:

Provides network control and management, small computer support and management (including help desk), telecommunications, and information protection for both in-garrison and field locations.  Builds, installs, and maintains information technology assets during field tests and in-garrison.  During test execution, the technician provides on-site user training on computer operations, associated peripherals, and installed software (all versions of Microsoft [MS] Windows, MS Office, Exchange, RedHat Linux and Solaris) as well as assists in the installation, maintenance, and administration of servers. 

This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience, of which 3 years must be specialized. A Bachelor of Science degree may substitute in lieu of two years' experience.  Virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) experience is a plus.  Candidate must possess excellent writing skills.  Candidate must have a proven capability in the use of word processing and presentation software.

Education: Bachelor's degree is preferred.  Must possess specific Information Assurance IAT
Level 2 experience and certifications IAW DODINST 8570.01(series).
Security Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required, Top Secret preferred.

Position: Senior Operations Research Analyst
Location: Ft. Walton Beach Division
Description:

Provides in-depth expertise in operations research methods and techniques. The Operations Research Analyst conducts professional and scientific work requiring the design, development and adaptation of mathematical, statistical, and other scientific methods and techniques to analyze problems and provides advice and insight about the probable effects of alternative solutions to these problems.

Must possess experience which demonstrates increasing responsibilities for complex tasks/projects involving rigorous methods of scientific inquiry and analysis. This position requires a doctorate degree in a technical field (such as operations research, mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics) and a minimum of 5 years experience in a military environment of which at least 3 years must be in military related experimentation/test and evaluation. Capability of writing at the collegiate level and capability in the use of word processing and presentation software required.

This effort requires PhD level Operations Research and Command and Control Subject Matter Expertise; assist with developing assessment plans, on-scene observations and data collection, and objective analysis and documentation for analytical events. This position requires an individual with a high level of expertise in understanding and applying engineering, operational, and analytical services. Analysis is primarily conducted at service and combatant command events utilizing operational service elements and equipment.

Experience as a test director, team lead in a DT&E, OT&E, or JT&E, joint experience a strong plus. User-level knowledge of command and control, communications, datalinks, architectures, and simulation systems highly desired. Previous test experience working with various tactical missions/scenarios, scenario development, operational context/requirements, and systems beneficial.

Education: Doctorate degree in a technical field

Position: Senior Engineer
Location: Ft. Walton Beach Division
Description:

The Senior Engineer will provide in-depth expertise for engineering environment designs, support plans, documentation, design, development, verification and acquisition of systems and individual equipment to support data collection requirements both deployed and in garrison. This includes the installation and checkout of data collection equipment, audio and video recording hardware and software, design and fabrication of hardware and software interfaces, as well as the development, acquisition, and operational use of systems. Engineering specialties required include communications, Information Assurance (IA), software, and networking.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years experience of which at least 4 years must be in supporting military activities. A Master of Science degree may substitute for two years experience. All Senior Engineers must have certifications IAW DODINST 8570.01-M (series) as required for their engineering specialty. Senior Network Engineers must have specific Information Assurance IASAE 2 and IAT Level 3 experience. Senior Software Engineers must have specific Information Assurance IAT Level 2 experience. Senior Information Assurance Engineers must have specific Information Assurance IASAE 2, and IAM Level 3 experience. Significant experience in LAN/WAN operations, long haul network communications, Voice Over Internet Protocol (VOIP), basic and core network operations, interpreting implementing, and documenting government technical requirements and compliance is required within the Senior Engineer workforce. Capability of writing at the collegiate level and capability in the use of word processing and presentation software required.

Education: Bachelors in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or the equivalent.

Position: Operations Analyst
Location: Ft. Walton Beach Division
Description:

The Operations Analyst provides subject matter expertise in a specific area of Joint Fires operations, automated information exchange, command and control, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems and supports the planning, execution, and analysis of military capability assessments. The Analyst prepares test and/or assessment plans, deploys to various sites as required to collect data and conduct analysis to generate findings, conclusions, and recommendations. The Analyst applies the specific area expertise to develop/refine: Joint doctrine and Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP); processes, and programs; and tactical systems improvements.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years experience in a military environment, of which at least 2 years must be specialized in a command and control information systems field. The Analyst shall have experience with data collection and analysis tools and in data collection, data reduction techniques and technical writing. The Analyst shall have the ability to work independently or as part of an integrated team. Capability of writing at the collegiate level and capability in the use of word processing and presentation software required.

Education: Bachelors degree is required. Masters preferred.
Security Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required, Top Secret preferred.

Position: Junior Systems Engineer
Location: Dayton, Ohio Division
Description:

A Junior Systems Engineer is needed to perform the following responsibilities:

  • Application development in a variety of environments including Microsoft Visual Studio.
  • Developing and maintaining object oriented code in C++.
  • Software testing and documentation.
  • Technical writing and research on scientific and engineering topics

The Junior Systems Engineer must have some experience with software development. Applicants must be proficient in C++, be comfortable working in Windows and Linux environments, and have a good understanding of personal computers, enterprise IT systems, and LAN hardware. This position will include programming aircraft, weapons, avionics, and environment simulation models, so knowledge in simulations and modeling is desired.

Qualified entry-level applicants will be considered.

Position: Contracts Manager
Location: Dayton, Ohio Division
Description:

Knowledgeable of FARS and DFARS. Experienced with T&M, FFP, CPIF, FFP/LOE and CPFF contracts. Extensive contracts negotiation experience. Extensive pricing/cost analysis experience. Prime contract flow analysis. Excellent written and verbal skills.

Support proposal efforts. Conduct contract administration and contracts negotiation with the government and subcontractors. Monitor contract performance of government prime contracts and subcontracts. Negotiate and definitize NDA's and Teaming Agreements. Develop subcontract RFPs compliant with Prime contract flow downs. Support monthly program management reviews. Review contractual documents and program execution to ensure compliance with the FARs and DFARs. Maintain historical information. Support DCAA, DCMA and internal audits.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. CFCM professional certification a plus.

Position: Information Security Professional
Location: Langley AFB, Virginia
Description: An Information Security Professional is needed to:
  • Perform validation activities as described in DoDI 8510.01, DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Program (DIACAP).
  • Perform Information Security Assessments and Validation for capabilities connecting to distributed RDT&E environments.
  • Establish and manage Technical Configuration Control Board (TCCB) Function to review Modified DIACAP Implementation Plans to assess risk of connecting M&S, Platform IT Interfaces, test tools, and innovation capabilities.
  • Prepare connection recommendations to AF-ICE Senior Steering Group or JEFX CCB, or RDT&E DAAs.
  • Establish and manage a Special-ACA function to conduct risk assessment, analysis and prepare connection recommendation for RDT&E systems.
  • Generate, review, and validate DIACAP artifacts.
  • Perform the Security Producer and Reviewer Role, Supports system security implementation planning, Validates artifacts, and performs the Security Validator Role. •Assess compliance with appropriate IA controls required for systems at different stages of the acquisition lifecycle to ensure that the appropriate level of IA is required, built, and tested incrementally in emerging capabilities to satisfy IA requirements required by the Clinger Cohen Act.
  • Develop, implement, and operate IA assessment capabilities to assess IA risk and readiness levels for standalone events in RDT&E labs and in distributed networked events such as AGILE FIRE or JEFX.
  • Support the goals and needs of the AF RDT&E DAAs and CAs and the Air Force enterprise, that is, a Defense in Depth view that combines IA with technological best practices in the best interests of the Air Force RDT&E Mission.
  • The Special ACA should demonstrate a mature, holistic view toward IA that blends an understanding of the nature of technology, security, the enterprise, and RDT&E mission needs. •Assist distributed event teams with security activities. This requires participation in planning conferences, IPT telecons and working directly with sites and system owners to resolve critical site or system information security issues to ensure that the event customers can access systems at distributed sites to meet their analytical objectives.
  • Keep abreast of IA policy changes and provide recommended courses of action to RDT&E systems, sites, and events to implement applicable policy.

Must have at least 10 years experience in application and assessment of information security to DoD systems and enclaves. Knowledge of the dynamics of distributed RDT&E environments and a demonstrated understanding of the application of appropriate information security measures to RDT&E enclaves, networks, systems, and events. Prior experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and assessing information security solutions for emerging technologies and test and development enclaves and networks to ensure compliance with appropriate implementation guidance in the DIACAP Knowledge Service. Experience using information security assessment tools and reporting on assessments and coordinating recommendations for approval to operate or connect.

Experience reviewing existing and emerging USAF and DoD IA policy and guidance and provide implementation recommendations to the RDT&E community. Ability to assess gaps and inconsistencies in IA policy, guidance and procedures that affect the RDT&E mission and create and coordinate proposed changes to address the appropriate application of Information Security to RDT&E systems, networks, enclaves and events across the USAF.

Proficiency with PCs, Windows, various operating systems, ports and protocols, LAN, WAN, Information Assurance Assessment and Management tools such as DISA Gold Disk, Retina Scanner is required.

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is required.
Current CISSP or Security+ certification required.
Security Clearance: This position requires the applicant to be able to carry a US Government security clearance.

Position: Distributed Test Engineer
Location: Eglin AFB, Florida
Description:

Distributed Test Engineer with experience in datalinks, data link messages (link-16 and VMF), mil-standard compliance testing and a thorough knowledge of the digital data exchange supporting tactical mission threads. Responsible for the technical management and oversight of Interoperability Test and Evaluation Capability (InterTEC) joint test tool capabilities supporting Net-Centric Command and Control (C2) test programs, functioning as a USAF InterTEC systems engineer. Additionally, the TE will be required to participate in the development of test plans and integration checklists for various Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) Developmental Tests and Evaluations (DT&E) programs. The TE must have a good distributed test engineering background, technical initiative, technical writing, analysis and the ability to organize test requirements in military environment working with other services, contractors and government personnel.

Required Skills: Must have at least 10 years experience in testing military systems. Knowledge of Link-16 (MIL STD 6016), MIL DTD 3011 and VMF (MIL STD 6017) required. Prior experience in distributed testing with experience with one or more simulation protocols required. Previous experience writing test documents (such as test plans, reports, data management and analysis plans) required.

Desired Skills: Testing of various tactical missions/scenarios desired, including scenario development, data collection and analysis. Prior experience as a test director or team lead in a DT&E, OT&E, or JT&E desired; joint service experience a strong plus. User-level knowledge of operating data collection and instrumentation systems desired. Prior experience integrating datalink, network, or simulation systems highly desired. Previous test experience with one or more of the following systems desired: JTIDS/Link 16, MIDS, SADL, TACP-CASS, ASOC Gateway, BAO kit, AFATDS, TBMCS, TAIS, JRE, ADSI, JADOCS, MTDS, WAM, Gateway Manager, Boss, JIMES, Starship, MADL, A-10C, AC-130. Previous integration experience with LVC systems (aircraft, radars, missiles, battle management, C2, ISR) desired.

Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related
technical field is required. Master of Science degree in technical field desired.
